Squid Roe

El Squid Roe has been downtown Cabo’s landmark party since 1989, a three-story building on Boulevard Lázaro Cárdenas a few steps from the marina. The neon, the gorilla on the roof, and the crowd on the sidewalk are how you find it. In their house they have no customers; they have guests.

Downstairs is the open-air restaurant and bar—breakfast, lunch, frozen margaritas, and the first rounds of the day. After dark the second and third floors turn into the dance: DJs, bottle service, metal booths people climb on, and a room that does not quit until 3:00 am. There is no dress code. The unofficial uniform is a Squid Roe shirt and shoes you can dance in.

Open every day, 9:00 am to 3:00 am, all year. Families and cruise guests use the patio in daylight; after 10:00 pm it is an 18+ nightclub. Come for tacos at noon or the story you will still be telling on the flight home.
